Wachovia Mortgage Rates
When we last looked at Wachovia mortgage rates, they were fairly low. They’ve gone up a little since that last look, so we here at Interest Rates Reviews thought we’d give you an update. Once again, we’ll be looking at 30-year and 15-year fixed rates as well as 5-year adjustable rate mortgage (ARM) loans.
We will assume you have the minimum requirements for good credit, the required down payment, money for the fees, and so forth. Loan rates can vary by geographic location, so check with your local Wachovia home loans branch or online to be sure that these rates apply to you. For a 30-year fixed loan, the annual percentage rate (APR) is 5.824% while an FHA loan is 6.773% APR. Wachovia Bank mortgage rates for a 15-year fixed is 5.457% APR and no FHA is available for this shorter term.
A 5-year ARM is at 4.331% APR and a 5-year ARM FHA is 4.133% APR. These adjustable rates go to a higher, fixed rate at the end of the term, but for many this is the best way to get into a house. Be sure to consider all of your options and to talk it over with your financial advisor before you decide which loan is best for you.
