Wachovia Savings Account Rates Update
It’s been a little while since we reviewed Wachovia Bank savings account rates, so we here at Interest Rates Reviews thought we should do that for you again. There are three basic savings account types at Wachovia, plus certificates of deposit. We’ll look at those savings accounts first.
The Wachovia high yield savings is called a Premium Savings. This account has Wachovia interest rates of 0.05% annual percentage yield (APY) on all balances with a $300 minimum balance required to avoid fees. Alternatively, you can set up an automatic deposit of $25 or more per month to avoid those fees. This account can also be linked with a checking account to become an overdraft protection account.
For more Wachovia high yield savings, the Wachovia savings account rates in the Way2Save offers are 5.00% for the first year, 2.00% for the years after that. These pay out a maximum of $300 and are meant as accounts for children and allow only three withdrawals per month without fees. Perfect for introducing your child to banking.
Of course, Wachovia savings account rates are generally best in a money market account. The Wachovia Bank savings account rates for money markets is 0.65% APY with a $2,500 minimum balance required to avoid service fees. These have no other fees attached to them unless you exceed six out-of-bank transfers in a month.
All three of these accounts are available online or at your local branch. Wachovia Bank is FDIC insured. Wachovia Bank savings account rates are variable and can change any time.
